Job Summary:
The General Carpenter specializing in Campervan Conversion is a versatile role responsible for various carpentry tasks involved in transforming campervans into functional and aesthetically pleasing living spaces. This role involves not only crafting cabinets and furniture but also installing flooring, walls, ceilings, windows, and trim work. The General Carpenter collaborates with the design team to ensure accurate execution of the conversion plan and contributes to creating exceptional campervan interiors.
Requirements:
Proficiency in carpentry techniques and woodworking.
Ability to construct, install, and finish cabinetry, furniture, and various carpentry elements.
Skilled in using a variety of woodworking tools, including saws, routers, drills, and sanders.
Versatility in tasks, including flooring installation, wall and ceiling paneling, window fitting, drawer slide/door hardware adjustment, and trim work.
Attention to detail to achieve precise measurements, cuts, and assembly.
Creative and efficient problem-solving abilities to adapt designs to campervan layouts and space constraints.
Strong time management skills to hit project deadlines.
Collaboration skills to work closely with the design team and other tradespeople.
Knowledge of different wood types, finishes, and hardware.
Adaptability to various campervan layouts and customization requests.

Job Type: Contract
Salary: $20-$40 an hour depending on experience
Schedule: Independent contractor, with ability to become full-time employee
